Description:

Please join us for the 2026 CHYK/CSK East Coast Retreat on the theme of 'Living the Gita'. This retreat will be based on five key verses of the Bhagavad Gita -- or the Gita Panchamrit. 

Gita Panchamrit is a sacred sādhanā that marks 75 years of the Chinmaya Mission Movement by inviting seekers to immerse in the timeless nectar of the Bhagavad Gītā. With five powerful ślokas at its heart, this year’s theme will impart Chinmaya Yuva Kendra and Chinmaya Setu Kari with the Gītā’s enduring essence.

In addition to the discourses on the five verses, we will have workshops, yoga, games, plenty of opportunities for introspection, and a bonfire! We are very fortunate to have Brni. Shubhani Chaitanya, our resident brahmacharini of Chinmaya Mission New York, guiding us through the retreat and leading the discourses.

Additional Information:

This is a residential retreat from Friday, April 3, 2025 to Sunday April 5th, 2025 (Easter Weekend). Exact start and end times will be shared closer to the retreat. Shanti Mandir is located in Walden, NY, which is about an hour and a half from Manhattan. We will be coordinating travel together to the nearest train station (Beacon, NY via MetroNorth) and pickup from this station to the mandir. Logistics for the travel will be sent at a later date as well. 

Cost: 

  • Early Bird registration price is $185 and closes Feb 13, 2026. 
  • After this point, regular registration is $200, and closes March 13, 2026. 
  • The retreat fee covers all accommodations (lodging, food, materials, merch etc) for the duration of the retreat.  
  • Travel to New York and any additional lodging outside of the retreat will be covered by the participant.
